Charities

Are you a charity that serves the Regina region? If so, would you like to be considered for a donation? Only members in good standing may nominate a local charity. But the best way to get the word out about your organization is to follow us on Twitter and ‘Like’ us on Facebook. We are committed to raising awareness of all our local charities, whether or not yours presents, whether or not yours is ultimately a recipient of funds from 100 Men Who Care! – Regina.

Eligibility Requirements

Only members of 100 Men Who Care! – Regina are eligible to nominate a charity/organization. There is no proxy voting.

In order to be considered to present at a meeting the charity must be:

Based in Regina or immediate area.

A registered charitable organization able to provide charitable tax receipts for donations.

National or international charities, programs or organizations will be not be considered at this time as the focus is on contributing to our local community. Organizations with a national link may be nominated, however, provided the request is for a project to be delivered in Regina. The funds must stay in Regina.

Programs within a large organization (e.g., a specific department or program within a hospital), will be considered only if that program is not being funded by the organization or its foundation.

Additional information:

Charities who present at a meeting but are not chosen to receive funds may be nominated again after 3 meetings have passed.

The recipient charity must agree to provide tax receipts directly to the donors and to announce the expected mailing date of those receipts to the members on the evening of their selection.

The recipient charity must on first contact with each donor, ask how frequently the donor can be contacted in the future. Charities are not to assume the donors wish to be on the charity’s mailing list.

A request will be made of the recipient charity to present an update on their use of the donation at one of the next 2 meetings of 100 Men Who Care! – Regina.

100 Men Who Care! – Regina reserves the right to amend these eligibility criteria when appropriate, without consultation with the nominated charities.

We would like to acknowledge that we hold our meetings on the traditional lands, referred to as Treaty 4 Territory and that the city of Regina is located on Treaty 4 territory, the original lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, Lakota, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
